TEHRAN -- A Persian translation of “Every Man Dies Alone” by German author Hans Fallada has been published in Iran.

Mohammad Hemmati translated the book, which was released by Nika Publications.

“Every Man Dies Alone” is a 1947 novel, which is based on the true story of a working class husband and wife who acting alone, became part of the German Resistance.

They were eventually discovered, denounced, arrested, tried and executed. Fallada’s book was one of the first anti-Nazi novels to be published by a German after World War II.

Hans Fallada (1893–1947), born Rudolf Wilhelm Friedrich Ditzen in Greifswald, Germany, was a German writer in the first half of the 20th century.

His works belong predominantly to the New Objectivity literary style, with precise details and journalistic veneration of the facts.
